Martinez has being involve in athletics for over 30 years as a student-athlete,
professional and coach. He currently serves as co-director of the Youth Empowerment Athletic program, director
of scouting for the all sports agency True Dream sports and is the associate head coach for the boy’s
varsity baseball program at Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx.
Prior to landing at Lehman, Coach Martinez served on the Baruch
College Women’s Basketball staff where he was a crucial ingredient in helping transform the once sorry program
into a penial championship contender has he led the Bearcats to two back-to-back semi-final appearances and
recruited several All-CUNY conference student-athletes.
Mitch Martinez extensive coaching resume includes
a sting has head boy’s varsity basketball coach at St. Halena High School in the Bronx and is involved
in numerous community sports organization. "Coach Martinez extensive coaching experience and his knowledge
of the game will help get our program on the winning track", explains Lehman Coach Eric Harrison. He continues,
"Mitch enthusiasm and player management will be a crucial aspect to our success".
