Statement of Purpose

Youth Empowerment Baseball Academy, Inc. Is a non-profit charitable organization founded in 1996 to serve as a recourse and catalyst for young people who are seeking to improve the quality of their lives and make a positive contribution to their community. The challenges we face in our society today can sem overwhelming. That is why the Youth Empowerment Baseball Academy, Inc. With its all-volunteer dedicated staff, along with concerned citizens and members of the business and education community are working diligently to provide our young people with the adequate options to help improve their lives. Together we play a significant roles in the development of our most valuable resource - our young people.

Youth Empowerment Baseball Academy, Inc. Has designed a unique year-round Student-Athlete Program that recognizes and develops the 4 As - Academics, Attitude, Achievement and Athletics. Hundreds of young people have the opportunity to became more productive members and much needed assets of the community. Our program plays an essential role in guiding young people towards a positive and productive future by providing an environment where skills development and personal growth lead to success both on and off the playing field.

Youth Empowerment Baseball Academy, Inc. Starts its season in January. There we are able to teach and carry out our student-athlete academic enrichment program and are able to monitor our athletics academic well being. Here, we also practice indoors preparing them in baseball fundamentals. We use Baseball, the number one (1) team sports in the United States and our national past time, as a vehicle for a positive alternatives for boys ages 10-19. Through team participation in highly competitive tournaments and leagues, our young people will learn Discipline, responsibility and commitment. Counseling, tutoring and standardized test preparation are available to participants as well. We play a major role through our College Placement Program, in securing college placement, academic/athletic scholarship and financial aid for all our student-athletes. The over all success of the Student-Athlete program is measure by how well the young people improve in their studies, college placement, work and contributions to the community as well as athletic performance.

In light of the pervasive downsizing of institutions and the disappearing social safety net, the need for Youth Empowerment Baseball Academy, Inc. Is great. We are responding to the challenge by providing a safe heaven where young people can engage in a positive activities that greatly benefit their lives and positive impact on our community.
